What is A Forest Therapy Guide?
Forest therapy guides offer sensory experiences in nature that promote a reconnection with nature. The goal of these forest walks is to provide an opportunity for people to remember and heal their relationship with nature, and thereby heal themselves.
Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing), guided forest therapy walks offer opportunities to de-stress, unplug from our daily grind, and practice some self-care.
Focused on the senses, Swamp Lotus offers quality sessions that promote mental, physical, and emotional health through a reconnection with nature.
I recently had a fantastic experience with Swamp Lotus. I wasn't sure what to expect but our guide led us through mindful activities, encouraging us to engage in our senses and connect with nature. It was such a unique way for me to turn off my busy brain and just be still reminding myself how important it is to slow down, be quiet and connect with nature.
